February 05 1940Sailed Methil (Skipper J. E. Moore) for Longstone grounds.
February 09 194021/2 miles E of Scarborough on passage Hull. At 11.15 a.m. attacked by two German aircraft with machine gun and bombs. One aircraft hit with Ross rifle and retired, other (Dornier 17E) dropped over twenty bombs, the final one lifting the stern out of the water and damaging telegraphs, steering gear, wireless and DF; no casualties.
February 10 1940Slipped at hull for survey but on unslipping water ingress observed in stokehold. Repaired and returned to service.
March 19 1940On passage Hull to Fleetwood (Sk. F. Brunton), rammed by HMT Lady Philomena (H230/P.No.FY.148) 5 miles E of Tod Head; eleven crew died. Repaired and returned to service.
1935Scrapped.
